RentRepairs

For service providers

Work that comes to you

Landlords post jobs; you hear about the ones in your trade and your area. Responding is free, winning is free, and what the client pays you is yours — all of it.

No commission. No lead fees. No cut of the job.

We never touch your money. The client pays you directly, however the two of you arrange it. There is no escrow to wait on and no percentage taken off the top. The only thing RentRepairs ever charges you for is your own Pro subscription, and only if you choose to take one.

Leads that actually fit

Only jobs in your trades, inside the distance you said you will travel.

You keep all of it

No commission, no lead fee, no cut. The client pays you directly.

A record that follows you

Finished jobs and honest reviews build standing that a new landlord can see at a glance.

Getting seen

How landlords find you

Ranking is public and explainable. There is nothing to game and nothing to buy your way past — the fastest route up the list is doing the work well.

Trade and area match

30%

Whether you actually do that job and travel to that estate. The heaviest factor, because a nearby provider who does not do the trade is no use at all.

Rating and review depth

20%

Your weighted rating, pulled towards the average until there are enough reviews behind it. The Verified badge counts here too.

Distance

15%

How far the job is from your base, on a decay — twice as far is meaningfully worse, not slightly worse.

How reliably you reply

15%

Answering at all counts for more than answering instantly. A provider who replies to most jobs within a few hours beats one who is sometimes immediate.

Finishing what you accept

10%

Completed jobs, weighed against cancellations. A cancelled job on a vacated unit costs a landlord a week.

Recent activity

10%

Whether you have been active lately and whether you are marked available. A dormant profile drifts down rather than sitting on old results.

The full explanation

The badge

Verified is earned, not bought

Pro does not come with the badge and cannot buy it. You earn it by finishing jobs, keeping your rating up, cancelling rarely, and giving us an identity document a person here actually checks.

That is deliberately hard, because it is what makes the badge worth having. A landlord who sees it knows it means something.

What it takes

At least 10 reviews

From real, completed jobs. There is no other way to get one.

A rating of 4.5 or better

Weighted towards recent work, so a good year three years ago does not carry you.

At least 10 completed jobs

Both sides have to have confirmed the work was done.

Cancellations under 10%

Of the jobs you committed to. Jobs the client cancelled are not counted against you.

An identity document we checked

Read by a person here, not by a script — and stored where no public link can reach it.

Questions providers ask

The things worth asking first

Does it cost anything to respond to a job?

No. Responding is free on every plan, and so is winning the work. There is no lead fee and no commission — the platform is not part of what the client pays you.

What does Pro actually buy?

Promoted placement in your trades and areas, a calendar, your own client book so you can book repeat clients directly, crew accounts, and faster verification. It does not buy the Verified badge and it does not buy a better rating.

How do I get the Verified badge?

Finish enough jobs, keep your rating up, cancel rarely, and send us an identity document. All of them together, not any one of them. It cannot be bought on any plan.

Can I put my own clients on the platform?

Yes, with Pro. Add them to your client book and book them directly. If they have a RentRepairs account they are told the date and can confirm or ask to move it; if they are just a contact you typed in, nobody messages them.

What if a client does not pay me?

That is between you and them — the platform never holds the money, so there is nothing here to release. You can rate the client privately, which is visible to us and helps us spot a pattern across providers, and you can report conduct.

Can I pay by M-Pesa?

Yes, for your subscription. M-Pesa or card, whichever suits. The first month is free either way.
